Sincere condolences Veronica on the loss of your mother. My father lived into his nineties as well, having been born in 1909. It hard to say goobye but having knowing he lived a good life that long leaves many fond memories.
Thanks, TB. She's actually my boyfriend's grandmother, and they were very attached.
My own mother was also in her nineties when she died, six years ago now. KLK's mother was very young when he was born, and my mother was almost 40 when I was born, so it does take a moment to figure out how my mother and his grandmother could be so close in age.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Veronica and KLK. I went back to your link and it was nice to see her during the happy times. One thing I've learned is that no matter how long a loved one lives, it always hurts to say goodbye.
Sorry to hear that you have had a death in your family. My condolences to you both. When an elderly person dies it is often very much the end of an era.
Thank you all for your kind comments. I'm afraid merinz is right, it's the end of an era. Fortunately, we do have over 100 great photos from the prime of her life as a sweet reminder.
